Why are you studying this career?

In the beginning because I loved animals, specialy dogs, and I really want to learn about how to cure them when they are sick. But now I have another perspective about it. Now my purpose is to know more about the animal production, because I think that is very interesting and I like so much more than the medicine of little animals.

What do professionals in your area contribute to society?

The professionals in the area of animal production contributed with the part of the alimentation of them and reproduction and they finally can do that the productive animals can be better to the man in many senses.

What tools will a professional in your area need to have in the future?

The professionals in this area has to know about reproduction, nutrition, estadistic, medicine, and a lot of things so I believe that is a very complete area of the veterinary sciences.

What is your favourite subject?

My favourite subject is the bird production, but I think that I have a lot of time to think in another tipes of production to do like pigs, or cows or production of exotic animals.

Dog Genious

Today we saw a documentary about "inteligent dogs". In this documentary they discribe the animal inteligence like the capacity that has an organism to adapt himself to the environment that they live. In this case, the dogs case, the environment has a lot of the human environment.

The dogs has many features that make them very specials. They can smell like a 1000 times better than the humans can, can ear much better than the humans can and also the can perceive a lot of things that others animals can`t like the movement of the humans eyes to choose the correct recipient of food.

In this documentary also has been mentioned some specials skills that have some races of dogs like the bloodhound that can smell things in a diameter of 3km and separate the different smells. Thats called the "layer odouring".

Another interesting thing that has been mentioned in this documentary is the study about the movement of the dogs tail when they are in front of is owner or of an a unknown person. When they fell confortable with the person that they had in front they move the tail a little more to the right than to the left. On the other hand, when they dont fell confortable with the person that is in front of them, they move the tail a little more to the left than to the right side.

In conclusion I can tell that I learned a lot of this documentary and now I am going to look the dogs in a different way. Now I think that they are more inteligent and sensitives than before of see this video. They have very specials skills and some times even seems like they can understand us and that they know us much better than we know them.

This is my photograph. It was tooked by my dad when I has 11 years old I think. In there I was whit my brother Cristobal in a pool of an uncle in Concepcion. I like this photo because I think it shows a lot of the personallity of me and my brother at this age. I look like a pacific child and my brother like a criminal or something whit his arms arround his chest (jejeje). I like it too because the colors of the pictures are very cool, thinking that this is an old picture and the photos at this times arent good enougth like to photos of this times, and the light of the sun arrives just over our heads that makes goods shadows. Thats all, I hope you enjoy the photo.

I dont really visit a web site related with the veterinary but if I has to know one I think it will be http://animal.discovery.com/ . Thats because I love the animal planet chanel, I think that is very nice the way that they use to show and explain the animal behavior.
In the web site you can find a lot of news of diferent animals and even games of them. Also you can find advices of how to take care of your pet and videos about the behavior of the animals.
I find this web site in google, when I realized that I dont have any web site of animals I thought that a good page to start is the animal planet web site, and I dont regret of that.
I dont visit this site very often, because I am knowing it since today, but I think that I am going to visit this site more often because is a very good web site.

Season 2 My favourite piece of tecnology

What it is?
Whitout any doubt my favourite piece of tecnology is my Play Station 3.
When you got it?
My father give it to me for my birthday the last year.
How you use it?
It has a control wich is to play. Is an inalambric control whit a rechargeable battery.
How often you use it?
All days. At the night before I get to te bed.
Why you like it?
Because is very fun to play football matches betwen my favourite teams or has a war with a military uniform against other people all over the world.
What life would be like with out it?
Ummm a little boring nights but not so terrible I think. Before I get it I do others things like watch T.V. or a movie, obiusly in the week days because the fridays, saturday and sundays days I do other things like go out whit my friends.

Hello my name is Raimundo Espejo. I´m from Santiago, Chile, and I choose to do this course because I want to emprove my english to some day can go out of the country to another place like England or EEUU to do a master or something like this in animal production or another thing that I like in the future.
